It means that the server was unable to find what it considered a "safe" place for that player to spawn, so it picked a random spot. You may want to consider using the -sb option to allow tanks to spawn on buildings.

thx cons, that was pretty fast

Yes, they can. If your spawn zone is too small to fit a tank inside, or if there are enemies in the area (and for several other reasons), that message can be generated.

but the spawn zone is like 100 squares already. and noones there when it happens.
what happens is (statement of some of my friends who tried to join it) (i.e ahs3) the log in then they cant spawn.
and for us, (who is playing) it just says "name" joining as a tank from "ip"
then "name" siging off from "ip"

Are you sure that your spawn zone is not outside the world size?

It may not even be related to spawning. I do not think SpawnPolicy actually kicks players. What are you hosting this on? And what version of BZFlag? Right now the Windows issue with BZFS and lots of flags or players comes to mind...

Is this on a server with a ton of flags? Adding too many flags (technically, more than 255 flags on a map) will cause a player to not be able to spawn. If that happens, try sending a chat message. If it autokicks you, then that is most likely the problem.

EDIT: If more than one person is playing, try setting the player limit higher. Even better, open up another client and try to join. If it kicks you saying "This team is full," there's your problem.

No one was getting kicked as far as I know... it was just a log issue.

100 might be too high. I had the same problem with 60 flags. I reduced it to 20 and everything was fine. For some reason, with more flags, you can't take as many players.

And something to keep in mind is that +f good{20} does not add 20 flags, but 20 of every good flag. The same for +f bad{5} (5 of every bad flag).
