how does one get rid of or modify the (user@local...)

that appears after one's call sign on the scores list?

i'm using mac os x

if you have some sort of terminal thingy on OSX, you can start bz like this:

bzflag -anonymous

I don't know how shortcuts work on OSX (little pointy clicky desktop things), but if you can modify the command for it, just add that -anonymous part to it, and it'll remove you user@localhost or whatever is there.

what version of bzflag do you use?

or just add an e-mail line to your config file, all OSs have them, just gotta find yours

is the file extension *.bzc for all OS?

what extension does it use for version 1.10.2? I can change it on version 1.10.0, but can't seem to find the file on version .2. Help??

I don't think it has changed (although I only use the Linux version, I don't know about the others).

I use win2000. the config file for 1.10.0 is bzflag19.bzc, i cannot find the config file for 1.10.2

As far as I know, it still uses bzflag19.bzc.

So far the command i'm using is "set email" and i leave it blank.

Just:

set email

will be ignored. Try:

set email " "

Edit: Oops. Don't miss the space here.

Or put something after "set email" and it will work.
