image files don't download

Post by trainee »

I have had this happen before, but only on a couple of Louman's maps. Tonight, I tried to play a couple of Mad City mods, and many of the image files wouldn't download.

I removed the last lines on the Download Access file in my bzf documents folder, but it didn't make any difference.

I was able to view one of the image files in Firefox.

I also had a very odd occurance. I was able to see a tank that ID'd as CL in my hud. I had just spawned and didn't have a seer flag or any other flag.

I'm using version 2.0.10 for Windows on an MacIntel running Windows with Bootcamp.

NB: I re-installed 2.0.10, and it didn't make any difference with respect to the particular maps where the bz client couldn't download images.

What's the address of a server where you had problems?

One thing you could try is clearing out your download cache. Options->Cache Settings->Clear Download Cache.

They were:

Modified Mad City-Revamped bzflag3.norang.ca:5169; and
Battle in John Galt's World 69.202.50.194:5156

I also periodically have difficulty with Louman's Metropolis.

I'll try clearing the cache.

I cleared the download cache and that appeared to work.
