Local Sever 101

Post by Seyla »

Could someone please tell me how to start my own sever, and play with bots? For one thing, I don't know what this "command line" thing is.

A server isn't really that hard to make.

What is you operating system?

Some links for how to make a server

http://my.bzflag.org/w/Sample_conf

For the sample config you don't need to include everything in the 'Sample Config' that I gave the link to you.

How to make a server on OS X

Some things are outdated so just look at the 'sample config' link I gave you and look for the OS X parts.

Thanks but, I don't know half the stuff he's talking about. Is there any place that just tells me what to do very simply?

All I want is to be able to play with bots, when my internet connection is down. Know anything that will tell me that?

Sorry, but running a server is not trivial. You could, however, try the StartBZFS application, assuming you can handle installing mono and running it with that. You could also check out this page:
