Laptop Video Card upgrade
The only laptop, that I know of, with a user upgradable video card is the Alienware Area-51M. Most other laptops require the manufacturer to upgrade them, or can't be upgraded at all. This is my understanding of laptop video cards. If I'm wrong, anyone feel free to correct me.

Hi guys, and thanks for your input ... Patlabor ... I think the Inspiron 8000 series and above can be upgraded with the Nvidea GeoForce2 Go ... I looked at the pictures on ebay of this card and it has an L shape, while my card is rectangular. I dont think they are physically compatible. I also went to the Dell website http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums ... insp_video and they have some discussion in a forum on this matter ... however, I can't see where this is upgradable (although it would be simple enough because there is a panel on the back where the card simply pops right out).

I did some searching on Google. In a forum post on dell's site (Help!! Upgrade my inspiron 7500) someone said that the best card you can get is the 8MB Rage-Mobility. There is some of these cards on eBay, but as Patlabor said, the ATI Rage card suck.
