BZFlag does not run with HD 2600 neither XT nor Pro, neither windowed nor in fullscreen. The screen is flickering 2 times for a view milliseconds.
Just can see

Code: Select all

start performance test please wait...
low quality
lowest quality with...
full quality
in the control panel. After that bzflag.exe is gone.

Every other tested game is working and FurMark (18 fps avg) and 3DMark06_v110 (3200 maks) as well.

the same with Bzflag 2.0.10 and bzflag-2.99.19.20090403
and after install of directx_aug2009_redist_9.27.1734

need help :?

System config:
ASUS-P4C800 mainboard
P4 2,6 GHz
2GB DDR1
HD 2600(XT and pro)
Win7 Ultimate x86 fresh install.
Catalyst 9.11 agp_hotfix driver.
1440x900 screen with 75Hz

I got the flickering solved on Win 7 - 64 AMD 64 ATI HD 4800, the problem isn't the card but that the compatibility install for BZFlag on 7 seems to default at video at 16 or 8 bits or some such so just change video settings in BZFlag under options to 32 bit and Voila!

Hope that helps.

i couldnt change any setting because the bzflag.exe process disappeared after 1 second. In windowed mode too.
I have in the meantime Win XP again.
The game runs now but the performance is terrible.
The fps is fluctuating between 50 and 200 fps.
Seems to be a driver problem.
