I am playing BZFlag primarily on Ubuntu now, although also on Windows 7. One problem I am having with it in Ubuntu is that it takes complete control of the system and I am not able to use other programs without shutting BZFlag down. Programs run fine in the background (eg music player), but I am not able to switch off of the BZFlag window. I do not have this happen in Windows.
I'm guessing there is an obvious way to change this, but I don't know how. Can any of you help me figure it out?

Do you mean in bzflag windowed mode your mouse wont go out of it, or you can't use F4 to minimize BZFlag?
If it is windowed mode, go to Setting->Input Setting->Confine Mouse [NO] then save settings. If you can't use anything other than BZ then I don't know, I don't have Ubuntu.

Yep, thank you very much!! That was exactly what I was looking for. I knew there was probably a simple solution.
