High fps & packetloss after dropping burrow

OK. because there are issues per the README.Linux file in 2.4, when running accelerated glx, I'm forced to untic my "Sync to VBank" and "Allow Flipping" which during the game produces a 539fps rate. This really doesn't cause any big problems during play except when I pickup a burrow flag. My tank takes forever to burrow and when I drop the flag the server complains that my packetloss is too high. The packetloss issue will slowly clear up until I pickup another burrow and drop it. There doesn't seem to be any packetloss problems while I'm burrowed. What's annoying, is I sometimes get booted by the server if the packetloss takes too long to recover.

Thoughts?

Running Linux Mint KDE 9 (Linux-x86_64) and the NVIDIA Driver 195.36.24 for my GeForce 9800GT.

Also, FYI, in case no one noticed, http://bzbb.bzflag.org/, doesn't seem to be monitoring the 2.4 servers.

Thanks!

Turn on the Energy Saver option in the Display Settings menu, and then set your FPS limit to something like 150 by using '/localset fpsLimit 150' while joined to a server.

And yes, we know that the stats site does not monitor 2.4 servers. That site will be going away soon.

Also, stayer's stats site monitors both 2.4 and 2.0 servers. http://bzstats.strayer.de
