"cannot load texture" since some days ;-(

Hello,

since some days I'm getting the message "cannot load texture" at some servers, when I enter the server, for example at Quickshot:... from Purple Panzer.

I cleared the caches a lot of time, reinstalled BZFlag, but have no idea, what is happening. Other servers which are make problems are Planet Mofo (since months), Louman's Mystic Valley, ==The Most DAngerous Game== and some others.

The maps are locking than half ready and it's no fun to play.

Apple iMac 27", OS X 10.7.1, 8 GB, SSD, VDSL 25 MBit/sec, all great -- but without all textures.

As an extension to that, you will find wiki.bzflag.org to be down also, since they are both hosted from the same server.

should be back now, there are issues with the DNS settings that Tim has to fix so that the bzflag sites are not tied directly to my own personal sites

Thanks for the analysis! Can I do anything to quicken the fixing? Light a candle at the Munich Cathedral?
Would be nice, if someone fix the problem. I'm loosing my skills for the fast bullets at QuickShot ;-(

the dns entries only took an hour to propagate so if you still have issues there is some other problem on your end.

Ok, I tried it again, same old text "Cannot ...". Than I cleared the cache a lot of times and tried it again and: All textures where they should be. Looks really better. Thanks for your help. Back to play.

The game had likely downloaded an HTML error page as the images instead of the images and was caching those, and then was complaining when HTML couldn't be parsed as a PNG file.
