Help reinstalling BZFlag

Heya,
I recently tried to just reinstall bzflag, but when I went back to install, it won't let me. I get an error message saying cannot open .../bzflag/fonts. So then I go to delete all of the existing bzflag files on my computer and my computer recieves an error message saying this file is currently in use in the BZFlag client.
If anyone can guide me through with this odd problem that I never had before, that would be greatly appreciated.
