moving in roam

how does one move in roaming mode whilest an observer?

Arrow keys - motion
Shift + up/down - change altitude
Control + up/down/left/right - change viewing angle

I think those are the basics. There might be more, but that's all I use.

Keep pressing F8 until you are in that mode (it says at the top of the screen what your current mode is).
