I was running Suse Linux Pro 9.3 on this machine but couldn't get bzflag and sound to work (in bzflag only-- sound worked elswhere). I was playing deaf for a long while. When I got sick of that I switched to MEPIS 3.4-1 RC 1. Now I've got choppy sound and bizarre video. My game screen is darker than normal. Flags look like flagpoles. Buildings appear on radar but not on screen. Tanks show up as small colored points of light. I can still shoot and be shot, just not very well.
Anyone know what's going on? Or how I can find out what's going on?
bzflag 2.0.4.20051017
video problem-- can only see portions of tanks & flags

I tried very many Linux Distributions and BZFlag Versions, because of the different Performance, but your build (20051017) is not usual.
I don't remember this Version.
Could it be possible, that your Version just don't support your sound and graphic interfaces ?
Or are the drivers not installed correctly ?
(I just try to help - no waranty or guarantee)
(sry, for eventual language mistakes)
