rename the file "map.bzw" for crying out loud.
Merry Christmas!

I know what youre doing wrong youve got your path wrong (asuming youre on windows) the path will b something like "C:\documents and settings\YOURE USERNAME\My Documents\map.bzw"
you cant just bypass all of the folders in front
to find out what it is exactly right click on youre pam and click properties and then highlight the bit that says location and copy that into youre configuration

Don't try and guess what the path is, man.
I'm sure windows must have someway to tell you, so just use EXACTLY what it says.
Also, you just showed us a password, if that is the same as any other password for anything else you do, you better change it quick.

no.....I can get directly to C:\ by going to it, only when you save in "My Documents" does that type of path occur....(or desktop)The Knights Who Say Ni wrote:I know what youre doing wrong youve got your path wrong (asuming youre on windows) the path will b something like "C:\documents and settings\YOURE USERNAME\My Documents\map.bzw"

I'd follow CBG's suggestion to NOT try and guess at the path to your file. That's what drag and drop is for, unless you have a better autocompletion setup on the command line. One other thing that may make it easier: Try moving or saving the file to the same directory as bzfs.exe then all you need is the name of the file in your conf. If you want spaces in your title, you'll need to include an escape character before every space. (probably a / ) It would be easier to rename the file. Just single click on it in Windoze Explorer and hit f2 type in a new name, hit enter, and you're done.
I'd also suggest you remove:
-publicaddr 127.0.0.1:5154
-public "Bot1's test server"
You can do this by putting a # at the very beginning of the line. (this is called commenting it out) I suggest that you do this because you need to understand and do several other things before you make a public server.(port forwarding, firewall settings, ip aliasing, etc.) We'll get to that eventually, but you should work on getting up a basic server with your map running and the configuration for it first.
Go slow, if you try to do too much at once, you'll get all messed up.
