version 2.0.8 crashes

Hello all,

Been a long time since I've been here! Still playing bz of course but not active on the forums.

Anyways, I tryed updating my client recently (2.0.2 -> 2.0.8) and ran into a problem. BZ crashes a little while into running with the new version! I tried messing with the display settings but it doesn't seems to help.

Any suggestions?

I'm sure that we would all like to help, but I doubt that anyone can offer any assistance without knowing a little more about your system.

Operating system/architecture/OS version/graphics card type is a good place to start.

at least u can play BZFlag 2.0.5 its same.but only in bz 2.0.8 u can edit so that u can write in e-mail string long letters and nothing more.
I u use macintosh please check that direction /Users/yours user name/Library/Application\ Support/BZFlag/2.0/config.cfg

Homer23 had changed that thing and he couldnt play bz, because it every time crashed.

here is some of my system specs:
Windows 98

S3 ProSavageDDR video card
2+ GHz
256MB memory

it should work, but i prefer if yours video card were Ati Rage 128 or Ati Radeon 9092 or GForce 4

Best video cards for game, but problem isnt in it. Or maybe it is.

Oh did you compiled bz 2.0.8 or downloaded from source?

I just downloaded the windows .exe file from sourceforge.

Yeah, I wish I had the better video card too...
