Can't login again
Hi everybody,
Strange thing: when i play during the day, no problem. When i play on night, i can't only play one time. When i died, i have to leave reconnect the server to enter it again else, right click or press on "i" do nothing.
why ?
thx
lilian.

And further, this could be server-side, as some servers seem to stall between spawns more than others, so...
1. Which servers/maps have you had trouble on, or does it happen on all of them.
2. Are you using your username and password from here to log in as a registered user? if so...
2a. Does the "+" appear next to your name on the scoreboard when connected;
2b. What happens if you log in unregistered by entering a different callsign and no password?

adding precision...

if you have a - near your name, that means your global didnt got taken.Flying DutchGirl wrote:At the mo I've got the same problem, but my answer on question 2.a. is no, there appears a '-' before my callsign.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
how to fix that: rejoin (maybe global was down), if global is down you wont get a +
if global is up and you still have a -, you will have a bad password or nickname filled in (not the same as you use here on this site)

Yes... by "global", people mean the exact user name and password you use here.Flying DutchGirl wrote:But I have to use the nick and pass I use for this site?
Game servers can have local, server-specific user accounts as well, but the usual practice is to have the game server look to this site as a means of providing "global" logins across all BZ servers.
That verification is a bit of a complicated process, and if your client, or the game server, have any trouble connecting with this site when you connect, you will get the "-" instead of the "+".
Sometimes it is transient and clears up next login, but if it is a consistent problem, you'll have to investigate further.

many ISPs use a caching proxy server that can screw up the login process in game.
open your config file.
fine the line that has
#set list http://my.BZFlag.org/db/
and change it to
set list http://my.BZFlag.org:81/db/
if you are on windows, the config is in your "my documents folder", under "my bzflag files" in the 2.0 directory.
