Segmentation fault with registered player

Post by me »

Hi,

After I have register my nick here, every time I try to use it at a game I have a segmentation fault. Every thing runs well with a nick not registered.

Any ideas?

version:
BZFlag client 2.0.8.20060629-MAINT-linux-gnu-SDL (protocol 0026) http://BZFlag.org/

eh if you use BZFlag 2.0.8 or 2.0.6 or older version 2.0.5 then when you open BZFlag type
Nickname:me
Password:yourpassword
Server:dub.bzflag.org
Port:5154
E-mail string:don't write anything.

And then just click Join Game.
Ah yes when you type password it must be same as it is on forums :D:)
If it will again don't let you to play, watch password on yours e-mail and type it again. If it will be again then just change password for more easier, then on yours e-mail will come again mail with new password what you have choosed. You would have to only accept clicking on link accepting it, and voila Sign in again to the forums. Test if password works, and then join BZFlag and play.

And one more thing, it may be the server problem too, if it sais so..

Try to take a look at the serverlist first, then join a game server. The newest CURL versions are buggy and crash the game. If the workaround gives you no crash then you're having the CURL problem and should downgrade CURL.
