Kind of a n00b-ish question...
Is there any way I could get just BZFS without downloading/compiling the whole overhead of BZFlag?
Any help would be appreciated.
A question about BZFS packaging.

Either way, you'll have to download it. This means either downloading the binary distribution (which includes BZFlag, BZAdmin, and BZFS) or the source (which you have to compile).
If you download the source, you can use the configure flags --disable-client and --disable-bzadmin to only build BZFS and it's dependencies.
If you get the binary distribution, you must download all three. However, I recommend compiling it because then you have the advantage of getting the v2_0branch SVN branch which includes some important fixes over 2.0.8.
