I'm kinda out of the loop as far as development goes - Is there actually work being done on a 1.9 branch? What's new, and how is it progressing?
What's the best place to check for development info? How do the other developers usually communicate?
I'd like to be back in the loop.

well 1.9 will be started when G2 is released ( soon ).
I don't know if there is a "plan"
I know it will be incompatable with 1.7
will have better collisions, better server side tacking etc...
most of the talk goes on in IRC, but basicly it's a "thow your patch against the wall and see what sticks", and "if you can find tim, get him to approve your idea, then just bust it out."
or my fave, "Commit em all, let god sort em out".
it's all very informal. Tim dosn't even read these boards. he only reads stuff on SF, so that's like twice a month when it's not down.

Now I know all of those too -- but not a month ago when all I had to go on and start with was sourceforge.. Found them all about the same time.Patlabor221 wrote:The IRC channel is mentiond in a number of posts, on the bzflag.org website, stats.bzflag.org, and shellshock.
