Adding patches?

I feel dumb right now, I would like to add some of the patches that people have made for bzflag. I however, have no idea on how to go about using the diff file on my bzflag program. I use windows

I had linux but got yelled at and so had to go back to windows.

well 1) you need to be able to compile BZ on your local system.
2) you need to use the patch command to apply the diff file.
if you don't have linux then you have to get patch from the unix utills on sourceforge.
