I was wondering where and how I can submit and image to be hosted by BZFlag.
Ya, this may be kind of a dumb question I know that.
If someone could tell me that would be great.

Should be what you wanted.

Or you can use a site like Photobucket or Image shack.

The image service is for hosting textures for maps, so if that's what you mean, then yes, use the image uploader. If you just want to upload screenshots and stuff, use a 3rd party site.

It seems that everything goes wrong for me...

File could not be moved from PHP temp folder to image temp folder! Tell an admin!

The only other problem is the fact that BZFlag normally limits what sites can download textures. So no Photobucket (normally).

How large was your file? It's possible the file was rejected due to being too large.

On a side note, my new system is nearing completion (or at least nearing a beta test). (I have a somewhat dated demonstration of the new system)

Ahhh...Now I see. Thanks for the help. Now I get the textures for my map.
Ummm....Actually now that I followed the link Winny gave me I don't know where to go to upload the image onto my user.

You upload them, and it is put into a dir with the name that you submitted them under...

IE: If I submitted an image under the name "kylevanessen", the images will be put in http://images.bzflag.org/kylevanessen

You go to that link, and click on Log In on the top. Use your forum login information. After that, go to "Upload Images", and enter in how many you want to upload.

If the images were not created by you, make sure you have the right to use the images you are uploading, and that you upload it under the same license that the image was released.

Also, afaik, the current system will use your first initial and your last name as the folder name, not your full name.

After you fill out the form and upload the images, they will go into a moderation queue. An image moderator will have to approved or deny these images. Either way, you will receive an email stating the result. If it was approved, it will send you the link to the file. If denied, it will list the reason.

i have submitted 3 pictures that complied to all the terms a month ago ::: waited, waited and waited ::: no mail stating the result ?!
now there are gone (saying ::: no pending images) ?!
what went wrong ??
just re-uploaded them and hoping to get them hosted soon ... thx

You currently have no images pending moderation

and my submitted images are gone! neither i received any mail stating any result!
what is going wrong???

It tells me that you are not getting the e-mails and that the images were approved. The problem could be pretty much anything that could affect e-mail, spam, blocked, wrong e-maill address... PM me with the names of your images and I can tell you the URL to access them at.

well again I'm waiting now over a month to get some images hosted ...?!
did something changed for the images.bzflag.org? or does it need just lots of patience?

Nope, they just happen so infrequently that we forget to check it...
