Minus Sign Next to Callsign

I have been noticing, and this does happen to others, that I have a minus sign next to my callsign. Does anyone know what this means?

A - by your callsign means the callsigns is registered but you have the wrong password, or entered it incorrectly. it can also be cause by slow auth (authentication).

Try retyping your password.

And if it is just slow authentication like Bambino mentioned, reconnecting can sometimes help (unless the auth is still slow).

oh so i guess this means if a server that checks for registration...you will be turned away for having a - then?

If a server uses requireIdentify for the verified or everyone group, then yes.
