/say command

When I use the /say commands I get
Server: [Text] (Mark_IV)

On the planet mofo bzflag.planet-mofo.com Port 4242 I get
Server: [Text]
It does not say my name after it.

On my map I have the asay plugin, but that doesn't talk through the server, only white text.
How does mofo get it to do this?

They modified their server or used a plugin.

If so, it's unreleased. Otherwise, a server mod is a piece of cake.
