hi, i am just advertising my server
there's a preview of the map is a bzflag movie:

Yeah, he's running it on a computer that he turns off at night, and it's running on Windows, and likely on a terrible Internet connection. Basically the definition of a poorly run server.

yeah, is not 24/7 and i am at gmt -3
yep, is laggy even if i use wireless or wired net

And just so you know Zz.... that IS what the people who host maps that people actually play on usually do. Buy or rent, as the case may be.

I was 16 when I rented my first server in a datacenter. There really is nothing bad about it (if you got the skills).

I paid it with money. No matter what money, just money. If it was pocketmoney or savings ... I was in the lucky situation that I hadn't to account for my money much. Besides that, my server was and is like US$ 16 a month.

Google it. Prices may vary.
I rented my first server when I was 16. It was a Link-3 VPS from VPSLink.com
It's more than enough for hosting bzfs. I could host countless maps and I had 30 players on it without significant lag (location lag only). I've also hosted on their Link-2. Now I host with 3 different dedicated servers if I want to.

Someone recently tried out Amazon's S3 free tier plan (free for a year) and it ran fine. Might be something to look in to.
