Use dual monitors with BZFlag

I have two monitors. I am on Linux Mint. When I start BZFlag from a terminal BZFLag pops up on one (the left) screen. On the other screen I get what looks to be a window that is just black. Is there a way to just leave the second monitor showing what it shows?

In fullscreen mode bzflag takes over the entire X display, even when that display spans multiple monitors. Running it in windowed mode (e.g., bzflag -window 1024x768) will leave the rest of the desktop exposed.

Another possibility is to configure X so that one monitor is :0.0 and the other is :0.1, and then running bzflag fullscreen in one won't affect the other. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mu ... te_screens covers the advantages and disadvantages of that.

On OSX, 2.4.2 used to leave the second monitor alone. Now on 2.4.4, the second monitor is just black as described. It would be nice if this was reverted. It's convenient to have music, chat, etc on the other screen instead of black.

You can work around this issue for now by switching to windowed mode (F1), then clicking the green button at the top left corner of your window to go back to fullscreen. There are two fullscreen modes on Mac OS X, and this method uses the other kind, which leaves your other monitor free.

Thanks for the work around! Good enough for now, but hopefully not permanent.
