1.
* It's likely a list of all major commercial tank games.(BZFlag would be considered hobbyist.)
* During the creation of the video, awareness of BZFlag's existence may have been unknown.
* It may have not fit in with the categories.

2.
* The games listed were pretty much completed when they were released and could easily be assigned a year/timeframe.
* It depends on the way one categorizes BZFlag. (First release, first major release, first made open-source?)

Battle Zone is the predecessor of BZFlag (then the BZ initials). But, yes, BZFlag is Free/Libre software then it should not fit there, which seems a proprietary software list (though they should surely make a wider list). There are 2 visions of developing software: proprietary and Free/Libre ones. It is like Microsoft Windows and GNU/Linux. Also, consider they start with simple arcade games and, then, end on simulators: different playstyles. I consider BZFlag an arcade-simulator.

No mention of Bolo, either. That was the tank game I played before BZFlag.

Bolo sounds like a fun game, it actually might not be too difficult to implement as a plug-in.(Minus the engineer.)
At least from the description written in Wikipedia at the time of this writing.
