SO, I have a hdpi monitor that I use scaling (to enlarge the screen) and when I play BZFlag it doesn't scale properly. The screen resolution is too large.
I'm on an Arch based linux distro using XFCE Desktop. Anyone have this a fix for this?

Re: HDPI Monitor with scaling
Can you describe your issue more specifically, preferably with screenshots?
If you are saying that BZFlag ignored the scaling setting and runs at the full native resolution, that is the expected behavior for now. You can manually change the size of text elements and such in the GUI settings, or you can manually select the in-game resolution that equals 50% (or whatever scale you’re using) of the native resolution.
Otherwise, we would need to know more about the specific problem you’re having.

Re: HDPI Monitor with scaling
So, this is what I have set for my scaling inside XFCE.

This is what BZFlag looks like when I fire it up.

The resolution is way to big and only a portion of the game is visible.

Note that the second screenshot isn't public. However, I did see that same issue when I used resolution scaling in XFCE. Though I had set mine to 2x, which caused BZ to only show up in the bottom left quadrant of the screen. Using window scaling (in the Appearance settings) worked correctly with BZFlag, though.

Re: HDPI Monitor with scaling
Sorry about the file not being public. I've changed that.
Yes, I've had better success with the scaling under Appearance settings but some programs ignore this. Grrrr!!!!
Other issue with setting the scaling under Display settings is that BZFlag works fine (if the resolution is set properly to your scaling) but when I exit BZFlag my desktop resolution wigs out. So weird!
