You mean the darkness when you're in a building? My screen only is tinted dark then, I can still plainly see what's in front of me.

I can see just fine... only a few lightly tinted triangles in the building.

Have you folks adjusted the brightness control in the options menu?

setting brightness does help inside buidlings
but outside it's way too bright so no solution

what helped is to lower the graphic options like transparancy but who wants that?

I usually adjust the time so I'm playing at night, and turn up the brightness. Sure you don't get shadows, but the bullet lighting effects look much better IMHO and it's neither too bright outside or too dark "inside".

Also does a lot of good on FPS for me.

I find being inside buildings far too dark now too. And it's perfectly bright outside. It's definitely possible for both graphics card transparency support, and monitor specifications to make this a problem for some. But that doesn't leave those people much choice :|

Does anyone run play with lighting or shadows on? I find those really get in the way and I imagine would affect my playing ability, just to make bzflag seem a little more realistic in a token way.

Here's my 2 cents, u should be able to shot when in a building like the all new more effective PZ. it still can be killed by SB and SW, i don't think it would become too powerful now would it. hey u could even make it so that PZ could kill it and it could kill PZ.
