Heck, there are much more evil toys in the world. That chair would probably make an expensive bedroom toy for someone.

They may be joking about the death and pain parts of the chair, but I think someone is actually attempting to make a chair in which gives you motion feedback from events in the game.

i.e. it'd bounce up a little if you jumped

Well, it's a great pic. But the mag doesn't have a month or issue number marked on it. Still made me laugh a lot. :)

You have a point there... it is just a prowler wouldn't kill ME.
I am not saying it would be harmless to others... lol

I am attempting to build a motion sensing chair, but I don't have much time and its a good bit of work...

Wow, you're actually doing it? As well as motion sensing, can it have motion feedback?

Any workarounds for this?

How does your joystick relate to the BZFlag chair?

What build of BZ are you using? What OS? For some I think you need SDL.

I'm using BZ 2.0.0, under Ubuntu Linux (debian derivitive) on AMD64. My plan is to base my chair so instead of hooking up to the computer, it hooks up to a game controller. Thus, the game controller should make it work without much coding.
