Just so nobody gets antsy, I'm recording ALL of the sounds now. Update in about a half hour.
some one made some things with audacity, aul files, she sent to me...

i installed audiacity to listen to it, but every time i try to open it says i miss a datafolder, any idea what the problem is? what i have to do? how i could fix?

sorry this is off topic..
BUT
the things she sent are related with the sound tread so..i hope you can deal with it

not to detract from the effort you bzfans have put into this. But I find Rpg's and Biya's voice a little monotonous and annoying, dead panned, and slightly higher than I think should go into the game.

I like trepan's example, and am trying to mimic it, or find some one who can.

But i'd like to throw out the idea of a sultry female voice, I can think of a few who sound great, but talking them into presenting their voice is another story.. ;)
Beware! I'm going to clone myself and spread those clones all over the world!

I hope it's not too late for this...
I finally got around to doing this.
Audacity is great - It means I can lower the pitch so I sound less like a girl.

Do you want the voices to sound like they are coming over a radio?

Microphone

Post by optic delusion »

The radio thing is good.
I found my microphone. it's over at church on Father Bob's pulpit. I'll go get it and post my voice if this is still open.... I have three or four good voices.... all deep.
Take a look at my Defender game mode concept.

Thinking is not an automatic process. A man can choose to think or to let his mind stagnate, or he can choose actively to turn against his intelligence, to evade his knowledge, to subvert his reason. If he refuses to think, he courts disaster: he cannot with impunity reject his means of perceiving reality.

Lol. I just realized my compressor/zipper was set on low/fast, instead of better/slow. That's why I had to make so many attachments.
I was starting to wonder how RPG could get so many recordings into one attachment.

Do you still need voices, JeffM2501? If so, I'm curious what you guys think of my recordings.

Right now I'm working on Jeff's list, if you still need the voices. I know I did several recordings that weren't on the list, but I just wanted to throw that stuff in to see what you thought.

"RESISTANCE IS FUTILE"
"GREEN TEAM HAS OUR FLAG"

Made with AUDACITY, saved as WAV, compressed with WINRAR, free for use--hope you use some.

If you want me to do something specific, just ask.

Thank you, Gerbil! *BLUSH*

I think your "You may not play like a girl..." is very insulting. Which is what it is supposed to be. LOL! :lol-old:

hehe

Just wait till Soraya hears it...

Post by Gerbil »

When I said, "You may not play like a girl" that was a compliment to the girls, i.e., "You're not as good as a girl."

The flip side insult was (for guys especially) "You sure scream like one."

It's all in the ears of the hearer you sexist!

Im listening to these am i'm laughing my butt off. i play Unreal Tournament and to here you guys saying those phrases is just really funny. :D I liked some of titan's. i like the 'jollygoodfellow' and 'obesity2'.
both of those are w/ the chipmonky voice. hehe, i like that. but the amusement wouldn't last long if they were all done that way.

I would help you guys out, but i have no idea how to do it, and i have no recording equipment. I definately want to see how this comes out. :)

I would be really great if the BOTs were programmed to randomly insult players with the recordings. :lol-old:
