The thing is, I have no Proxy Desktop service anymore since I reinstalled Windows. Everything works fine now. I've had a bad experience with it, I won't be reinstalling it. The end.

You are asking for a Mac OSX Dashboard Widget to list the current servers and or players, correct?

I have NO idea how to do that, but I found a widget-making example page at http://itagback.com/?p=25 and tried to hack one together.

I've attached it here, but please be aware that I have NO idea how to do this.

I got this to work for the playerlist only. If I could find a stable RSS feed for the serverlist at http://stats.bzflag.org/serverlist.php - I might be able to plug that into the widget shell. The date after the player name is left over bits from the sample and didn't seem to hurt anything, so I left it in for now.

PLEASE do not pass this along or upload it to any widget sharing places, as it is really really rough.

ok temporal is that supposed to work only with dashbord or will it work with windows konfabulator

i have no idea what it does, i tested it but it just shows a blank widget

This does NOT work with Dashboard. This only works with Konfabulator.

I don't know about Windows, though, it should work fine.

I've tested it on Mac OS X 10.4.3 with Konfabulator and it works just fine.

Uh, you're half right Meteor. The one made by Your Own Ignorance is for Konfabulator. Konfabulator runs on both Windows and Mac. I believe Temporal's is a rewrite of the widget for Dashboard by request of Legolas, Dashboard is only for OS X. That's how I understood it.

This thread is about a Konfabulator Widget that "Your Own Ignorance" built - as far as i know that one is cross-platform. See the first post in this thread for those details.

The one that I posted was in response to a request for an OS X Dashboard widget - NOT compatible with Windows at all.

If the one that I posted isn't working on Legolas's Mac, then someone else would have to build a new one from scratch (for Dashboard). I don't have the skills to make it any better - I just found a tutorial on how to build one and plugged in the playerlist RSS feed URL and some BZF graphics.

ok, ok wow. this thing does work, good job a temperol distraction the thing just takes time to load, a long time to load, is it ok if i edit it- make the rss feed to the serverlist not the player list? if so i would need the link.

Feel free to change it all you want. If you can find the RSS feed for the server list that is. I couldn't find one that was stable. Fortix.bzflag.org has on at http://fortix.bzflag.org/asp.rss - they have some issues tho and it might be wonky.

If you can make it better and pretty, please let me have your version

ok that site doesnt work out temperal, the feed isnt correct, i must go to bed now, tomorrow after school I shall tackle this and give it some pretty background and improve it.
