Yeah yeah, shattered.bzflag.bz:2982 is back up running BigMadCity (for the time being - may switch map at a later date).

Again, I cannot guarantee how LONG this server will be up. For the most part, I'm just letting it run while I go about my daily business.

awhhh dude. its not like the old map :-/. i like the very first map there was for madcity....i would play ther eall day, everyday if it was the old map.

Scratch that. I'll put the original MadCity back. I also prefer that one, though I do like the extended version as well.

however, I cannot do this at the moment as there are some networking issues affecting bzflag.bz.

haha. i would have to say that it is the best map for madcity, the new big one is just oo large and too busy.

"dude" is just a phrase in generallity.

Yeah, what you say is true for that particular map, I suppose.

Anyway, the ORIGINAL MadCity map is now running on shattered.bzflag.bz:2982

Now... if anyone would care to join..

Ok, maybe not.. the map I just put on there (and downloaded as the original madcity) is apparently NOT the original madcity. I cannot seem to find this anywhere. I had it previously, then blew it away. Now, it appears to be lost to the mists of time. Anyone know a link to get it?

Honestly, I don't know why I'm bothering...

Bah forget it. I keep getting one version or another of it. I've now officially wasted too much time on it,and time is valuable. Not like anyone goes there anyway.

there are lots of madcity versions out there............the popular version(not the original) that ran a few years ago(turkeymoongroup days,post chardonney days) is out there...........noodleman had storage at one time and i believe the sourceforge map section contains a version.

at some point, i had a couple versions pre-dating the popular version..........however my HD died and now they are buried somewhere on backup tapes.

purple panzers mirror madcity is the popular version swapped around to play with your head..........i would lay odds he has that source version around.
