My highest score for FFA is 109 and for CTF it is 50 (and some flag captures). In FFA usually when I get above 40 or take the lead I sign off after about 5-10 minutes.

There was a rainy Saturday last summer I played way to long and scored around 375 on an FFA server. That's nowhere near the highest I've seen. Dervish and fiberchunks I've seen both over 400 a couple of times.

Bagheera is right, score is kinda irrelevant, it is the kill ratio and respect for other players that really counts. If you are nice to people it makes the game more enjoyable regardless of the score. And if you are truly a BZ expert the kill ratio is what matters. Of course the score is great to have though :D !

I got 1000 on turkey one time (on the modified mad city map with OO of course). But I have actually quit looking at the total and started looking at the relational scores between myself and the better players... it's called hunting and I often hunt my friends and I *KNOW* they hunt me sometimes.

It's also called having fun! :-)

My highest score was also on turkey -- 820, I think. My highest kill ratio is around 3:1 Sux, but then again, I just play to blow shite up usually ;)

In FFA my kill ratio is usually about 8:1 through 10:1. I'm not sure what my highest kill ratio is.

600 something on a public FFA server
90 something on a public CTF server

I was playing as just "." one day and making a killing with a ratio of over 15:1. Screen cap for this best ratio of mine...

Thats not a bad thing Legolas, 5:1 is pretty good. That means when you are playing you have a positive score  . I think that BZ should be played for enjoyment, don't try to take the fun out of it.

By the way, what type of frame rate and lag do you usually have. These can make or break your game.

Well my highest score in ctf was 160-180 something like that .
takes quite long on a server with no flags no jumping and 2 shots.
Well anyhow in CTF the kills dont kill the Flag Captures are more important. In FFA ... I dont play very often :D but its still fun ... i think i had once 400 but that was a long time ago ... and in CTF i once had 31-1
:D against 2 n00bs :D

widowmaker has the right approach and the one I truly believe. BZFlag is for fun, and I would be happy regardless of my score if I had a good time with good people. Legolas, you should just play to have fun too (although 5:1 ratio is great!).

Score varies depending upon who's playing against who and all of the game mechanics, including some luck.

Still, it's fun to boast about high scores and high ratios now and then. :)
