SW capture weapon?

SW capture weapon?

I would like to see an option so, when someone captures a flag, the flag does not appear, at the base, until a team member appears. Not only that, but when they spawn, they face the flag/an enemy, ready to shoot. It could solve the problem of stealing the flag, yet not be as annoying as a SW.

Could that be implemented? Server side?

Are you talking of some kind of protection, or shield to protect the life of the respawning tanks that have got their team flag stolen? It could be nice...
As an example, think to Babel Overlord, when a team flag is stolen, everybody who respawn gets killed by mad people ( :evil: ). You are right...

Right now some servers use a SW to clear anyone who wants to take the team flag and run, before anyone appears. Simply delay the flag.

There's a way to "protect" you from SW when you spawn. It's only a matter of a variable and its in the server config I beleive.

Arg, I hate that SW. If it looks like my team flag is going to be captured, I try to stop the capturer. But if I'm dead, I simply wait until they capture it to respawn. Unfortunately for me, the SW at my base usually isn't finished firing, which means I die when I go to respawn, quite annoying.

You can try writing a plugin. It has to be in C++, as that's what BZ is written in.
Games don't make people violent, lag does.

Perhaps we could just be invincible for 3 or 4 second when we spawn after
our flag as been captured... Just the time to get away from the guy waiting
for you with sw...

And Hannibal, what does on watch mean(your grade)? It's a question that I
whanted to ask you long ago...

Wow... That is an amazing idea. Add that along with delaying the flag (Even with that feature, an enemy still could grab it and run before you appear and get a chance to shoot).

Somewhere (not sure where) I swear I saw an option/setting in the config for this. Won't protect you from shots, but from SW and SR.

That the flag could only appear once there will be nobody on the team spawning point. The flag could spawn 20 second after a flag capture...
I'm sure there is alot of interesting alternative for that problem....
