G2 curiousity

I was playing on Ducati CTF a while ago, and when I pulled up a lagstats a certain player (David_V) had a letter R next to his entry.
For example: /lagstats
player1 : 120ms (45)
player2 : 88ms (23)
David_V : 145ms (14) (R)
Does anyone know what that stands for?
CLIENTQUERY shows him as using 1.7G2, same for me.

R means his name was registed with the server using the new admin commands.

And while that is a good question..i'd also like to know what the server list cache is..................

the server list cache is for when the list server is down. The client will list the last set of known good servers for you to use, as usualy the servers are still up when the list server is down. Optimaly you should never have to use the list cache.
