I know this may sound stupid , but I believe that the image for BZFlag on the Wikipedia article is a bit outdated. It's from version 2.0.

Now, since I got yelled at for all my pictures being in low quality, I've managed to update Two Castles, Mofo, and Badgerking. They have been updated in this post. (note: The LaserMania and Overlord pics have not been updated because at the post time those servers were empty) (double note: I couldn't log on to Boxy War, the client kept hanging)

Great shots, but could use better graphics.
If that's the best your computer can do, however, we can live with it.

Also, since my fellow BZFlag users called me up about making a new thread to post the remaining pics, here are the remaining pics. (PS: Jeff, you can delete that other thread in Chat)

Honestly, I wouldnt know the difference if you were on 2.0 or 2.8.
If you want to represent the latest BZ, set the qualities to higher.

And yes, you do sound stupid.

The best is the Full action overlord.

Turn up the quality to something other than Low... becuase they look lower-quality than the 2.0.0 screenshots.

I can get some nice shots tomorrow. Will post then. Full quality, of course.

(and if I could get a full 2.1.x server, I'd post one of those as some of the new graphics are very good)

Oh, wow I never knew that the graphics weren't supposed to be like that! I've been playing since July with the graphics on low. Gosh.

Of course you have a planet mofo screenshot with somone using a vulgar name. Classic.

perhaps then it would be better to let someone who knows more about the game update the article

I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of those images; the graphics are horrible!

I think if you or anyone else were to update the images on wikipedia, the screenshots should be of a map that that has more than the default brick wall and green grass textures. Clicky

best would be one that has the default UI settings as well, not big radar, or big chat, etc. just a nice map, on experimental, with little clutter.

DTRemenak and I were editing the page last night to clean up some of the incorrect info in it. The screenshot it has isn't too bad.

remember that wikipedia is not an advertisement for the game, but an informational resource, it is an encyclopedia.

I'm not entirely certain that, in a forum like wikipedia where people know very little about the game, that having names like Loser! and Ivanna Fookya on the screen cap really is casting us in our best light.

We're gettin a bit off topic, but... yeh, it does matter. There's plenty of things that come up every day where I do the right thing for absolutely no reason other than it's the right thing.

I am a very active contributor to wikipedia in some areas where I have subject matter expertise, and I feel quite strongly that wikipedia's contributors, and readers, deserve better than "Ivanna Fookya."

And, I beleive that any community... whether it's a volunteer group, a non-profit service group, or a bunch of game players is always advertising.

yeah we should probably replace it with one with good names. I'll see what I can dig up.

The names in my post are ones from one of the images (the fourth, I think) in the original post in this thread.

How about screenshots from Galt's world? I think it's one of the most beautiful maps I've played on. Maybe someone can take better screenshots than I did?
