An anonymous hacker, by the nickname Agent47, has been spotted on Pyramid and on a cheat server. He seems to have admin privelages without passwords on all servers. He has been kicking and banning people for no reason! This requires immediate attention. It would be a good idea to make a modified client that can not be banned or kicked, and admin priveleges. This is urgent! :runaway:

Its not admin privelages... He's sending a shot that does not exist, thus your client freaks and causes you to either go NR or kills the client completely....

As for blocking his attack.. You would have to have a client that ignores any packets coming from other tanks. Really only useful for an admin to have, so he can get an IP and ban the guy.

But if the admin starts his script with a -d it would log the IP anyways... So all he has to do is goto the log and get the ip.

I imagine that this will get solved once the server is responsible for state checking of client data. Not sure if this is implemented yet, but it's in the works if it hasn't already been started.

the G2 client and server "should" skip those malformed shot messages. This whas the reason behind the "lock everyone up cheat/hack" I would make sure your upgraded.
