i use iBZEdit. it works very well... yet, i cant test. i can get into the BZFlag.app file. yet it comes up and says "Error Connecting to Server"
how do i fix this?

Test it properly by setting up a server then logging in using your client. Search how to make and start a server, I can't tell you how many times this question has been asked or answered...probably in the hundreds.

That probably means the server is crashing upon loading the map file. You would probably have better luck using the "bzfs" executable packaged in the BZFlag.app program and setting up a server for testing yourself. For starters, check out http://my.bzflag.org/w/Server
