i just tried out the pre-alpha. It's pretty good. the ony thing is the y and z coodinates are mixed up (y is z, z is y). i dunno if this is deliberate or not :P

Yeah... I can virtualy switch the connections and static text or I can just move them :-P

another thing... I have the ObjC dialog in... and I found that NSString can export itself to file :D
(So all I have to do is figure out NSString and how to put char* in it and we'll have working saving)

The open dialog is gona be a pain...

@CBG: No that's not the official logo... I just didn't like the default :-P

I actualy need a B&W 16x16 camera icon.
(you hit it and it'll make a pic of the context... but it will be a separate render... so it'll be bigger)

Logo's, Icon's, are welcome.

for the icon, how about the bzflag icon, but with a hammer and screwdriver (like the Xcode icon and the bzflag icon mixed together)

That was a bit of a rough cut - I could really do with a hammer and any other tool that are the same style...

No, I meant thanks for making mine look utter crap. 8)

Over the next couple days, I can come up with something similar but with some kind of mac twist to it. ;)

yes that is the bzedit icon for OSs that support large scaleable icons

it's just a gpl icon from he crystal icons set on top of a gray bz icon. It seemed to fit well.

I like your icon CBG...

I don't like the "babyish" style icons.
(bleeding, light colors, blurry overlay)

And that's the exact way the BZEdit icon is :-P

If you don't mind I need it in several sizes...
16x16, 32x32, 48x48, and 128x128

I can make a hit mask

I'll work on it sometime tomorrow (in the early hours if your lucky ;) (yeah, I stay up till atleast 2AM on a regular basis (I know - i shouldn't...)).
I'll try to clean it up a bit too, the pliers are a little fuzzy...
Also, I can do it with any colour of the BZFlag icon behind the tools, any preference?

icon composer is a good tool on OSX that will scale the icon to the sizes you need ( imports from an image ) and automatilcy make the hit masks.

It's very easy, I used it to make the icon for bzedit. I highly recomend it

BinarySpike
like I said I just took the icon from the Crystal icon set, and that is there style. It was easy and GPL so I knew I could use it.

Oh, it's bzedit, all lower case not BZEdit ;).

Are you sure about that, Jeff?
What's up with the name of this forum then? 8)

Hmm, what does that say? Is it "BZEdit and BZMapper"?

I actually like Jeff's icon. CBG's is not shiny enough and is kinda plain and unfinished looking... (sorry). And it's already GPL'ed! :D

It is the way it is because when the forum was made there was only BZEdit/BZEditW32 and bzmaper.
now there are other editor projects and systems, as shown by iBZEdit, pyBZEdit, bzfed, etc....

bzedit != BZEdit ;)

I was just pointing it out because it was all lower case in the screen shot that's all. And in non case senstive OSs it would matter. Also it was funny :)

It is true we didn't add all the other editor names to the fourm. So you are right, it may be time to rename the fourm to be more representive of the various tools that it represents.

I think what cbg and binary spike are saying is they would like to not use the same icon as bzedit and have there own for iBZEdit, and that is completly understandable. As the apps do work in very difrent ways, and them having the same icon would be confusing. I was just showing CBG how similar his design was to what was existing so they knew. I'm sure CBG will rework his design into something along the lines of what they wish for the project and looks good.

I'm thinking maybe I can make it more aqua-esque. ;)
Anyway - I will see.

Heh, you said it... :)

And yes, I do believe I have made some decent designs in the past. For one I received $35 and for another I got 3 months hosting ($15)... Not that I'm boasting...

Aww, the forum logo was because of the design that was orriginaly there... it didn't go with the Acid style...

DumbleDore has created some awesome logo's and I have also created some logo's...

Problem is I can't decide on the logo...

Ah, didn't know it resized images...

It's the only thing I know that can create the correct format for icons anyway.

I guess I just need a 128x128 then...

Also, with saving... shootthrough and drivethrough now work :)

when you import you tell it where to put the data, and it can resize for you. it is rather nice.
