RogueAutodropGeno

It would be nice to have a plugin that caused rogues to drop their flag as soon as they picked up a geno flag. This way rogues could neither geno nor be genoed, but team players would still be able to geno each other.

Does this plugin exist?
Would it require a change in the protocol?

I do not know of a plug-in that would do this, but yes it is possible to make one do this. It would not break protocol and could be written for 2.0.x .

do you mean that the geno flag would be dropped as soon as a rogue picked it up?
I personally really like rogue geno :)

Also you said that rogues couldn't geno eachother, nor get genoed by eachother, could teams still geno rogue?

Rogues in my mind should only be there to cause more difficulty in the game. They should not be allowed to carry any flag. They should just shoot players of different teams and cause confusion. That of course is my own opinion.

Yes same here. A very fitting punishment for their disloyalty to whoever might have been their team members. :-)

Only if RogueGenocide was loaded.

By the way. Could I tempt you to also solve a feature request that I made a long time ago in a previous incarnation?

[ 774565 ] Rogues should not carry team flags
Rogues should not carry team flags It would be nice to have a server option that forbids rogues to pick up a team flag (Edit: Or causes them to drop any team flag it as soon as they have picked it up)
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.ph ... tid=353248

I admit that I don't have a server, but hopefully someone will find the plugin and like it.

Hmmm, IMHO I think it's kind of fun to carry around team flags as a rogue. :-) That is, when I play as a rogue, which is rarely...

Anyway...

Hehe, no problem... it took all of five minutes to convert the first plugin into the second. :-)

The only problem with that is that rogues are not a team. They can act that way if they work out some sort of agreement in-game, but that's not how it's intended.

Sometimes rogue geno is good, but sometimes it's not.
