What do you guys think of including VOip for bzflag? It really would change the game, but it might be fun.

Nice for the users, costly in terms of the ability for servers to host players. BZFlag requires quite a bit of bandwidth and adding voip to the stack, and hitting the game server with it, would mean you could only host a few players per server, for many of the servers not sitting in a datacenter. And for those in a datacenter bandwidth usually costs real hard $$$ over and above what you pay for your home connection.

Personally, I would find hearing voice to be a distraction over a message. I imagine it may be harder to prove abuse of voice chat vice logged messages.
