Shield variables

I was thinking that it would be cool to be able to set the amount of hits it takes to die when you have shield, it could make for some interesting game play, just a thought...

I like it, but this makes gameplay easier. Sure it makes it interesting, but does it have a pro and con side. Is there a counter? Anyway this is a good idea, but gameplay should be made harder, not easier.

I will wait for some noobie map maker to set the "shield" variable to 10000 shots before you die.
This is the first idea here I don't like, sorry.

yeah...the sheild is already so powerful that is has a time limit how long you can have it. Anymore powerful and bzflag will be turned upside down.

hmmmm... ok, maybe it could be incorporated as a server side plug in for certain types of games... like the mini boom of "tower defense" games that have been made on here lately...
then again, maybe not...

multi-hit shields have been specifically disallowed by Tim Riker.
