LAN Server Autodetect

Are there plans in the works for autodetection of local servers? This way, rather than having to run ipconfig/ifconfig before starting bzflag and then typing in the IP address or hostname, bzflag would show a list of all running servers on the LAN. Perhaps, also add the ability to set a password in the bzflag client.

Other than Bonjour (Apple made, but I believe it's bundled with all iTunes for windows), the rest don't seem to work well.

SSDP is in XP, and SLP in printers, Apple and linux. Bonjour is the platform-widest.

He isn't talking about automated network configuration, just listing of lan servers separately on the server list

BZFlag DOES search for lan servers on port 5154, it just displays them mixed in with all the other servers in the list, and makes them very hard to find. 3.0 has a new tabbed server list, so we can look at doing a "LAN" tab in the future.
