First kill for zombies: First Blood +2 point bonus?
Last kill for zombies (no humans left): Extinction +10 point bonus?
Last human alive: Last Man/Tank Standing +5 point bonus?
Last human alive to kill zombie (now 2 humans): Revival +10 point bonus?

It would be nice if the server made an announcement with these achievements.

I'm sure I could think of more but this would be cool if this could work. Thank you mrapple for your continuous hard work :)

Thanks for your ideas, Bambino.

One thing that would be cool are achievements with names like you suggested -- but I don't see that in the near future ;)

As for the bonus points/ideas suggested, I want it to be fare for both teams.

What I mean by that: the last surviving human gets the same points as the last surviving zombie -- but with different text, like, "Player 1 gets 5 points for shooting the last zombie with a 12-gauge shotgun!" vs "Player 1 gets 5 points for eating the brains of the last human!"

Also, the server currently does announce "Player 1 was awarded 3 bonus points for ending the reign of Player 2!".

One last idea... everyone on the winning team gets a point?

Fair* not fare

I think this would be a good idea to add in. Also, you could add
Kill [X Amount of tanks] in [X Amount if time] Killing Spree: +5 points

It would be cool if you can add something like, if someone is attacked by a zombie and not killed he has to kill that zombie in a certain period of time or he will turn zombie, this way it will make the game more interactive.

Not sure how you'd determine that someone was "attacked" by a zombie, nor does that sound like a feature that would really improve anything.

Updated to 2.4 (I hope)

Notes: This plug-in cannot run on Windows, due to using functions outside of the API.
The license is: GNU LGPL v. 3
(This was stated in plug-in, readme and license file titled "lpgl".)

Code: Select all

GNU LESSER GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE
                       Version 3, 29 June 2007
The functions outside of the API, include, but not limited to team switching and per-player variables.
(Team switching is supported in the API in 2.6 of BZFlag.)
(Per-player variables might be added in the future, but I am not certain of it.)
Plug-in was updated from most recent release, which is "zombie b0.6".

Notes from the source code:

Code: Select all

/*
The "zombie" plugin is made by mrapple

This plugin is distributed under the GNU LGPL v. 3 (see below or lgpl.txt)

Mail tony (at) bzextreme (dot) com for questions

If you want to try it out, head over to bzextreme.com:5156

Please note that versions of the zombie plugin are periodically pushed out
The version you see may not be the actual one running on the bzextreme server

Some final notes, if this plug-in does not work for any reason, let me know and I'll see if I can fix it.
(I can be contacted in game, by forum pm, IRC or IRC memo ['Zehra' is my IRC nick on freenode.].)
(Please note, Windows is NOT a supported platform for this plug-in, as it uses functions outside of the API.)
There is also a map file distributed in the original zip folder, so if you wish to use it, you may download it from there.

A little surprise for all.
Humans vs Zombies has been updated to 2.6 (Although still in development, I've updated it for 2.6).
Please note, that per-player variables, done in both the Velocity Drivers (veldrv plugin) and PlayerVar - Per-Player Variables! plug-ins are still not available as a feature within the API, so they are done outside the API.
(If they are made a feature within the API, I will update this plug-in to include them.)

Still, not to delay, here is the plug-in: Zombie-2-6

Why would you update a plugin to an API that isn't finalized yet!?!

Also as we have said the "per player variables" idea will never happen. There are already too many variables. We understand the problem and have a solution, but it is NOT the ones that you are pushing for.
