HUD patch

Post by jzaun » Sat Dec 28, 2002 4:41 pm

Just wondering has anyone but the few people helping with it tried out the HUD patch I'm working on? I'de like to get some feedback on it and improve it in any way possible.

Is there some way to apply patches using the lame windows versions I have of CVS -- Tortoise/WinCvs(A.k.a. crashALot CVS)?

Or do I need a 100mb+ download of cygwin?

Sniff I am on 56k.....

Anyway to undo patches? I do just have to keep spawning copy after copy of the same directory to keep a "clean" version?

for reversing patches in linux, you can, instead of (patch -p1 < patchfile), just do patch -p0 -R < patchfile

Again, I'm unsure whether this works in windows or not --

As far as patching under windows in general - I have no idea ;)

Peace

patch on windows

Post by MrApathyCream » Sun Dec 29, 2002 7:31 am

For patch on windows i use the one out of the sourceforge project unixutils. The only thing you gotta match sure is that the diff file has windows line endings. But other than that it works fine.
