There are times I'm playing when I want to tell others what server
I'm on, or even just check myself (in case I want to come back, and have been playing a while without being particularly careful which server I went to).
Perhaps there already is a way to tell what IP address and port, or whatever the publicaddr flag is set to (or the server name) from within the game, without having to Escape out to Join again to check - but I haven't found it. It'd be great to have a command from within the game to show this info.
Simple feature: server id

Almost...
The problem is I don't want to have to leave - if somebody else wants to know what I'm playing on right now, I'd like to be able to tell them.

The only problem with this is that the player disconnects from his current server before joining the other one. So the old server would be disconnected before the client could tell it what the new server was. The /part command does fine for quit messages.ducatiwannabe wrote:Hmmm, how bout if somebody leaves for a different server it says:
"Playername signing off and moving on to server.blah.com"
Or, "Playername has signed off of bzflag for now" if he just quits the game.
