Progressive damage, restore tank with health flags

Post by Tankie »

Instead of getting killed instantly when shot, how about if the tank slowly looses life and eventually it blows up. After a few shots, the tank would start to smoke and rattle and not be as efficient (momentum, no jumping, jamming, ect.) instead of "bad flags". And if you don't find a health flag eventually you die. There would be maybe 5 levels of health and each time you get shot 3 times you lose one level of health.

Also, Incorperate a health meter for the tank on the screen or dash.

There would be health flags across the map that your could pick up.

Perhaps have two teams and the last team still alive wins.

I probaly couldn't see it going in. BZFlag was ment to be a simple game and it is. I'm not saying this is complicated, but IMO it is just a little bit.

This would be something I would love to see as another game-style.

I believe this is being played with in the playground branch in CVS.

IMO it would destroy the simplicity of the game... although it could make a nice fork.

Very nice idea. It should be optional, though.

But in any case... I like it :D
I'm thinking I need a better sig than this...
