What I want is one shot, with a ten second reload. When I raise _reloadTime, the shot bounces around forever. So I experiment with _shotRadius and _shotSpeed... I can't find the magic words that will give me one normal shot, and a long reload.

What is a good formula for one shot, long reload?
Also.. _shotRadius is unrelated in this case, correct?

What you want is _shotRange. By default it is set to 350. By default, reloadTime's range is _shotRange/_shotSpeed, however, if you change shotRange and THEN change reloadTime, you can get an effect where the bullet ends early, but you are waiting for a reload.
