Multiple Maps

Post by DaemonDazz »

This might be a rather obvious question, but is it possible to run a server with multiple maps and have the server cycle through them, eg, in conjunction with a timed game?

Yes it is possible, one way of doing is by downloading a "server gui" which has options for this. I'm not quite sure where to get it from, perhaps a google search might help.

I don't mean some script that starts the server after each game with a different map, as that means that all the clients need to reconnect...

The game server itself does not support map reloading. The only way is to use a script or something to kill and relaunch the server. The networking protocoll does not presently have provisions for a gamestate reset in the middle of a server session. Tho most of it is there, noone has writen map rotation code into the server and clients yet.
