switch advice needed.

Post by DEATH[2-I] »

i am looking to get a cheap 8way switch,

it must be a switch, not a hub because i have some old 10mb stuff.

i narrowed it down to a model from Dynalink and a model from somebody called C-net.

does anybody have anything good or bad to say on these makes?

i dont want to buy one only to find that UDP packets are being dropped/rejected/corrupted or any of that type of crap.

bottom line - it must be good for BZ!

don't know if you've looked at this maker, but I've heard good things about gigafast switches, routers, etc, and they ain't that expensive.

Whatever you do -- DON'T buy a linksys.

Peace

Netgear or 3Com is good, but you do pay for a quality brand.
