I was just thinking...what if somebody took a map (it could even be random, a random map) that was CTF and put ONLY thief flags in...set the reloadTime really long.

Now since thief flags have instant reloads they would be the only thing worth using (and the only thing to use, since a normal bullet would miss all the other people with thief and takes forever to reload)

So, one player has to drop his thief flag to capture, right? So the other people come up and try to steal their flag back. In the mean while, the capturing team theifs the other team's thief flags away from them...so they are helpless. It's just interesting...I was wondering what you guys thought? So teamwork would be required for capturing. The team capturing would try to thief the defending team's thief flags away...and then work their way upfield.

Kind of stupid?

i like this idea, but shouldn't you also have a super slow shot speed too?

have thief and useless - almost impossible to kill anyone, and have a map like toastline's forest map

If it's almost impossible to kill anyone, we should have a personnal counter that show the number of team flag that we get to our base. :?

If we dont do this there will be no score(it could be interesting to have a ranking)

That's it, no killing, but still CTF. Thief flags steal other thief flags to protect the flagbearer.

I think that it would be really fun, but I don't think that it would be a good idea to have thieves be smaller than normal tanks.

I can see it now, a long line of thief flagged tanks lined up all the way to the base, stealing along the line to the capture.

EDIT: There is one possible setup of this now running on my test server, 1/4 speed tanks and bullets, 35 second reload time, 300 thief flags, 1 SR flag with a srRadiusMult of 100, and -tk.

During playing around I got tanks to 'lay mines' instead of shooting bullets too, but there was no shot detection when it worked.

Could you stick in a server message that talks about the basic game play, and a little strategy? The couple people who showed up seemed to be mystified as to what was going on and just SLOWLY tried to kill each other.
